Harrison J. Lind – NARRATOR
Harrison (he/him/his/they/them) is a performing artist from Salt Lake City, Utah, land stolen from the Eastern Shoshone and Goshute indigenous peoples. He is a newly minted College Degree Haver specializing in “Saying Words Well Sometimes and Moving His Body Skillfully Oftentimes”. He loves his family, and his community of artists, activists, radicals, and thinkers who make him a whole human bean.
Isabel Crews – RAIN
Isabel is grateful and excited to be working with Sackerson for the first time! She’s been doing theatre in the Salt Lake area for the last 3 years. Recent roles include Goodman in MEN ON BOATS, and Cassius in JULIUS CAESAR at the University of Utah. She loves Jesse more than anything. Much thanks to the wonderful cast and creative team she gets to work with!
Jesse Nepivoda – TAYLOR
Jesse is an actor and playwright from Washington DC. He and his work have appeared on stages throughout the United States and Canada. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with Sackerson once again and to be working with this cast and creative team.
Merry Magee – RAIN
Merry is thrilled to be working with Sackerson again, and excited to be developing art within the confines of a COVID world. Recent credits include: SCARLET (Sackerson); SPARKS FLY UPWARD (SLAC Playwright’s Lab); ION, WOMEN OF TRACHIS (Classical Greek Theatre Festival); and THE RAPTURE HAPPENS AT MIDNIGHT (An Other Theatre Company). Merry graduated from Westminster College in 2017 with a BFA in Theatre Performance.
Shawn Francis Saunders – TAYLOR
Shawn holds a bachelor of science degree in theatre from Utah Valley University. He is currently a resident artist with Sackerson theatre company. Sackerson productions include BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, THE WORST THING I’VE EVER DONE, SHOCKHEADED PETER, THE LITTLE PRINCE, and HINDSIGHT where he also directed the second cast. Shawn is a filmmaker, with his friend and frequent collaborator Alexander Woods. They have created three short films together titled “Say The Sins”, “The Wreath” and “Deep Blue City”. All of which can now be viewed online on the Kimble Productions Company YouTube.
PLAYWRIGHT – Morag Shepherd
Originally from Scotland, Morag Shepherd is one of the producers and resident artists of Sackerson. She is a member of the Plan-B writers lab, where her play FLORA MEETS A BEE (NEA recipient) toured throughout Utah schools, and NOT ONE DROP (David Ross Fetzer grant recipient) has performed. Her play DO YOU WANT TO SEE ME NAKED (Critics Choice Award, and Best Solo Performance) has performed in Salt Lake City, Tucson, and The United Solo Festival in New York City. Her immersive play, A BRIEF WALTZ IN A LITTLE ROOM performed throughout 2019 in Salt Lake City (The Utah Review top ten moments of 2019), as part of a collaboration with Umbrella Theatre Company and the Utah Arts Alliance. Recent writing credits include THE CHOCOLATIER with SonderImmersive, and an adaptation of Italo Calvino’s short story, DISTANCE TO THE MOON (The Utah Review top ten moments of 2018). Morag is a member of the Dramatist Guild and the New Play Exchange.
DIRECTOR – Dave Mortensen
Dave is one of the founders/producers of Sackerson. Recent directing credits include A BRIEF WALTZ IN A LITTLE ROOM (The Utah Review top ten moments of 2019), THE DISTANCE OF THE MOON (The Utah Review top ten moments of 2018), THE LITTLE PRINCE, SHOCKHEADED PETER, BURN, and POPPY’S IN THE SAND (Sackerson). He has served on the boards the Grassroots Shakespeare Company, was a founding member of Mortal Fools Theatre Project in Provo, and started Utah Theatre Bloggers in 2010 (retiring in 2016). He currently serves on the Salt Lake City Arts Council Advisory Board. By day, Mortensen works with economic development organizations across the country and educational institutions to better serve their communities (BMI Productivity Solutions, Portfol).
DIRECTOR – Claire Stucki
Claire is a recent graduate from East 15 Acting School’s BA Acting International course. Recent roles include Warwick in “Edward II” (An Other Theatre Company), and Alice in “Rainbow Baby” (River Gypsy Theatre). Other productions include “Burn” (Sal), “Taking Care of Baby” (Donna), and Michael in a new production of “Three Kingdoms” in collaboration with Simon Stevens.
STAGE MANAGER – Sam Allen
Sam is a class of 2020 alum of Westminster College’s Technical Theatre BFA. His most recent works include Prometheus Bound (Stage Manager), Women of Trachis (Assistant Stage Manager) with the Classic Greek Theatre Festival. Of Color (Assistant Director),The Audacity (Assistant Director/ASM) with Plan-B Theatre. First Date at The Grand Theatre (Assistant Director). The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival 2018/2019 (Technical Director.) At the Bottom, (Sound Designer) , Macbeth (Sound Designer), The Real Thing (Sound Designer) with Pinnacle Acting Company. Westminster College’s productions of Gloria (Stage Manager), The School for Scandal (Stage Manager), and Love and Information (Assistant Stage Manager.)
COSTUME DESIGNER – Doris Marquez
Doris holds an AAS in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute at Salt Lake Community College and previously costume designed Sackerson’s production of THE LITTLE PRINCE.
PRINT DESIGNER – Dan Evans
SOUND DESIGNER – Alex Ungerman
Alex is one of the producers of Sackerson, and Co-Founder of the Grassroots Shakespeare Company. With Sackerson, he has directed THE WORST THING I’VE EVER DONE, AN OAK TREE, SONDER, SHOCKHEADED PETER, THE TEN DEATHS OF HAMLET, and THE WEIRD PLAY (a co-production with Plan-B Theatre).
